With just a week to go until the highly anticipated release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the excitement is building among fans. The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, recently completed its certification process with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
CBFC Grants U/A Certificate To Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 With Minor Modifications
According to the latest updates, the board awarded the film a U/A certificate on Oct 24, signalling its readiness for release.
The runtime of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is officially set at 158.26 minutes, which translates to approximately 2 hours and 38 minutes. This lengthy running time reflects the grand scale of the film, promising audiences a substantial cinematic experience.
Thankfully, the CBFC’s Examining Committee did not request any visual cuts from the film. However, they mandated some dialogue changes. Notably, the original phrase “Ganga Jal” was altered to “Changa Jal,” with the accompanying subtitles clarifying, “It’s just holy water.”
This adjustment aims to avoid any potential controversy related to religious sentiments.
Additionally, the committee addressed some pronunciation issues. The word “chotiya” was corrected to ensure it wouldn’t be misinterpreted as offensive. Another dialogue, originally saying, “Supplement leke bhi…khada nahin hota,” was changed to “Support lekar bhi uth nahin pa raha hai.”
In the subtitles, this was rendered as “He can’t even stand straight after taking support.”
Moreover, a static disclaimer has been added to scenes depicting liquor consumption. This measure aligns with the increasing responsibility that filmmakers are expected to take regarding how substance use is portrayed in films.
Kartik Aaryan Starrer Ready For Diwali Release
The buzz surrounding Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is amplified by its star-studded cast, which includes Kartik Aaryan, who reprises his role from the successful Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022).
The film also welcomes back Vidya Balan, whose unforgettable performance in the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) remains iconic. The excitement doesn’t stop there; the addition of Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri to the ensemble has fans eager to see how these talented actors will contribute to the horror-comedy mix.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, along with Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to hit cinemas on November 1, just in time for Diwali.
