Recent reports say the rough cut of the film, including the opening and closing credits, runs for 2 hours and 38 minutes.
A source shared with Pinkvilla that the film is nearly finished and will be submitted to the censors shortly. This runtime is quite close to the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which was 2 hours and 39 minutes long.
The insider mentioned that this third instalment has a strong storyline that mixes horror, comedy, and drama. They also pointed out that, like the previous films in the franchise, it includes an unexpected twist. The second film had a shorter runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes.
The team believes this engaging film will entertain audiences during the festive season, as it has the right length for a packed horror comedy.
150-Min Long Singham Again Submitted To CBFC
Alongside Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Singham Again is also preparing for its release. Bollywood Hungama reported that the filmmakers submitted this film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently. The submission length for Singham Again is about 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The CBFC’s Examining Committee is set to view the film this week to determine its certification. However, the final length may change based on any edits or additions requested by the board.
A source involved in the project explained that if the committee requires any visual cuts, the film will become shorter. Conversely, if they ask for extra disclaimers, it will add to the runtime.
Battle For Screens Between Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 & Singham Again This Diwali
As both films gear up for their Diwali premieres, competition among distributors is increasing. The distributors for Singham Again are asking for 60 to 62% of the showing slots, while the team behind Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is also seeking equal screen time across theatres.
The tension surrounding the distribution of these anticipated films is likely to rise in the coming days.
