Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set to release this Diwali, and fans are buzzing with excitement. As anticipation builds for the third instalment, director Anees Bazmee has already sparked conversations about a potential Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Bazmee shared that while the idea of a fourth film is being considered, it would come with significant challenges.
Anees Bazmee On Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4
The director emphasised that making a fourth film will be no easy task, as fans will inevitably compare it to the previous parts.
Bazmee said, “It will be a huge responsibility to make Part 4, no matter who creates it. The audience will naturally compare it to the first, second, and third films, which makes it tough for anyone involved, even me.”
On Whether Akshay Kumar Will Return In 4th Instalment
Fans were especially excited when Bazmee addressed the possibility of Akshay Kumar returning to the series. Akshay led the first Bhool Bhulaiyaa in 2007, and many are hoping he’ll reunite with Kartik Aaryan in a future film.
The director shared that Kartik is a massive fan of Akshay, and bringing them together would be a dream for both the cast and fans.
“Kartik admires Akshay, who is an all-rounder in acting—comedy, emotion, action, he does it all. Plus, Akshay and I share a great friendship,” Bazmee added.
While nothing is confirmed yet, Bazmee is open to creating a script that could attract Akshay back to the series. He stressed that the story would have to be compelling enough to make Akshay feel the project is worth his time.
“I would love for it to happen. Let’s see where things go,” the filmmaker said, leaving the door open for a possible reunion.

This time, the plot focuses on two versions of Manjulika clashing in the town of Raktaghat. Vidya Balan’s return to her iconic role has only added to the film’s buzz.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Murad Khetani, the third instalment is set to deliver a blend of horror, comedy, and drama. Upon its release, the film will clash with Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again.
