Bhoot Bangla update: Akshay Kumar Reveals Mithila Palkar’s Role As His Sister On Wheel of Fortune

Akshay Kumar knows how to turn a casual TV moment into a clean headline. On the latest episode of Wheel of Fortune, the actor-host welcomed Mithila Palkar for a breezy reunion that quickly doubled up as a promotional pit stop for their upcoming film Bhoot Bangla. Between jokes, playful taunts and a shared comfort that comes from having already wrapped a set together, Akshay dropped a simple but solid casting reveal that fans of the horror comedy will want to clock.

Akshay Makes It Official: Mithila Is His Sister In Bhoot Bangla

Introducing Mithila on the show, Akshay highlighted her digital-to-cinema journey and teased their on screen pairing, before spelling out her part in the film. “Mithila started her journey from the internet and is working in many films now. And soon, she will be seen with an actor who is very well known to me, guess who, me,” he said.

Then came the punchline. “In Bhoot Bangla, Mithila will be seen playing the role not of the ‘bhoot’, but of my sister,” Akshay confirmed, locking her character relationship with his in a single line.

Mithila, clearly game for the banter, joked about their off camera antics too: “I’ve come on the show to recover and repay all the money I lost to you (Akshay) during the course of shooting for Bhoot Bangla.” Akshay kept the volley going: “You better win and repay me for all the games you lost on set, otherwise this time we will play Judo, not Ludo.”

It is a light reveal, but an important one, because it places Mithila in the emotional ecosystem of the film rather than as a blink-and-miss addition.
