Bhooth Bangla Trailer Out: Akshay Kumar And Priyadarshan Bring Back Comic Chaos With Tabu And Rajpal Yadav

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are returning to a space audiences know them best for, and the new trailer of Bhooth Bangla wastes no time playing to that strength. With a haunted mansion, escalating confusion and a familiar ensemble-comedy rhythm, the promo brings back the kind of playful disorder that once defined some of their most loved collaborations.

Released on April 6, the trailer drops Kumar into a world where the paranormal and the ridiculous seem inseparable. Tabu, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav sharpen that energy, while the film’s eerie setting gives Priyadarshan room to blend visual suspense with broad comic timing. The result is a promo that feels mounted on chaos, but controlled enough to suggest a carefully staged horror comedy rather than a random gag reel.

A Haunted Mansion, A Strange Curse And Priyadarshan’s Signature Rhythm

The latest trailer establishes Bhooth Bangla as a theatrical release lined up for April 2026, with paid previews beginning on April 16 at 9 pm. More than the teaser, this cut leans into the film’s central hook, a cursed house, an unsettling supernatural force and a group of people who appear wildly unequipped to deal with either.

One line in the trailer neatly captures the mood: “Welcome to Bhooth Bangla. Yahan na toh log normal hain… aur upar se bangla bhi paranormal hai.” That gives the film its tonal identity straight away. The fear is present, but the bigger joke seems to be that the people trapped inside this world are as unpredictable as the haunting itself. The trailer also points to a key entity named Vadhusur, giving the story a clearer threat beneath the banter.

Priyadarshan appears to be staging the film with an eye on ensemble rhythm rather than one-liner overload. Kumar remains central, but the trailer repeatedly cuts to reaction shots, group panic and deadpan pauses, allowing performers like Tabu, Rawal and Yadav to build the mood around him. That balance is what gives the promo its lift. It looks less like a star vehicle and more like a full-cast comic setup powered by timing.

Akshay Kumar’s Recent And Upcoming Work

For Akshay Kumar, Bhooth Bangla arrives after a busy stretch across action, drama and comedy. In 2024, he starred in the theatrical releases Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein. In 2025, Sky Force gave his recent run a stronger commercial push and re-established him in a more favourable box office zone. He delivered a successful film with Jolly LLB 3 last year and rather average films in Housefull 5 and Kesari Chapter 2.

Against that backdrop, Bhooth Bangla feels like a strategically interesting turn. It puts him back in a genre that has consistently amplified his screen persona, while also reuniting him with a filmmaker who understands ensemble confusion better than most mainstream directors. That makes the film’s April 2026 release more than just another date on the calendar. Going by the trailer, it is being positioned as a full-scale comic event built on chemistry, precision and a haunted-house premise that leaves ample room for mayhem.
