After Fox Star Studios backed off from Karan Johar’s Takht, the Dharma Productions has partnered with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series for its dream Project.
After the failure of Chhapaak, Panga and Baaghi 3 Fox Star Studios are not in a good position financially. That is the reason they pulled out of Takht.
“Karan has been trying to get a studio partner on board since it’s a big budget film and requires constant inflow of money. He is planning it on a massive scale, and making the film without a studio was never a feasible option. He had multiple conversations with LYCA Productions from South too, but the two could not reach a common ground and the deal was called off,” a daily quoted a source close to the development.
Karan met Bhushan soon after and they signed to be partners. This is the first collaboration between Dharma and T-Series.
Since the current pandemic has affected the shoot and the nation is following lockdown, Karan is working on the script, costumes and other aspects of pre-production from his home.
Period drama Takh is Karan’s one of the most ambitious projects and he is leaving no stone unturned to take it to the highest.
