After the rift between Jamin students and Delhi police #JamiaProtest has been trending on Twitter, however, people soon noticed that Akshay Kumar liked a tweet that read “Badhaii Ho.. Jamia me azaadi mili hai.” the tweet was in reference to the video that witnessed Police officials striking the protestors at Jamia Millia Islamia’s campus last night.
Soon the actor got backlashed and #BoycottCanadianKumar spread like a wildfire and started trending on Twitter ever since.
However, soon after Akshay realized his mistake he cleared and put a clarification. The wrote, “Regarding the ‘like’ on the tweet of Jamia Milia students, it was by mistake. I was scrolling and accidentally it must have been pressed and when I realized I immediately unliked it as In no way do I support such acts.”
