Allu Arjun, a renowned Telugu Cinema actor, has been engaged in discussions with Aditya Dhar regarding his potential entry into Bollywood through a visually stunning action film called Ashwatthama, which heavily relies on special effects. The actor was captivated by the film’s concept and expressed keen interest in joining the project. However, following the release of Adipurush, there has been a shift in circumstances. Allu Arjun has become more cautious about the assurances made by Aditya Dhar and his team regarding the visual aspects of the film.
The use of visual effects (VFX) has become a matter of concern for Telugu film stars, who now prefer to work on simpler projects with established filmmakers. They place their trust primarily in director SS Rajamouli when it comes to VFX capabilities. After witnessing the situation surrounding the film Adipurush, Allu Arjun, a prominent Telugu actor, is uncertain about trusting a relatively new director with a highly ambitious project like Ashwatthama.
A source close to the development revealed that Allu Arjun might decide against participating in Ashwatthama due to these reservations. Interestingly, similar to how Om Raut chose Adipurush after his successful Hindi debut with Tanhaji, Aditya Dhar has also chosen Ashwatthama as his second film following his debut in URI. However, Ashwatthama is viewed as a risky venture, and Allu Arjun is unsure if he wants to invest significant time and effort into a project whose outcome will only be known after two years. Therefore, he is exercising caution and will soon make a final decision regarding his involvement in Ashwatthama, although it appears that he is leaning towards not participating in the film.
