Shah Rukh Khan‘s upcoming film, Jawan, directed by Atlee, is set to release on June 2, 2023. The film is an action thriller that stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Riddhi Dogra. The postponement of Yodha and Dream Girl 2 in last two days from 7th July to different dates has fuelled rumours around Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Jawan. Off the record, sources from both the production houses have confirmed that respective films will hit cinemas as per schedule.
Though trade is full of buzz around reschedule dates of both the films. It’s uncanny that both the 7th July releases were earlier too shifted their release dates for different reasons and shifting these dates again need to have a solid reason behind.
As per sources close to a special effect and post production studio, “Jawan makers are trying best to release on 2nd June but no way the post production work can be completed before 20-25th May. So they might push film only by couple of weeks to 29th June which is extended 4 day Eid weekend. It will also give good 7-8 weeks for promotion.”
This movement will give Karan Johar’s directorial venture Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani a new date of 2nd June. These are just speculations at the moment though some big announcements can be expected in 4-5 days time.
