Ranveer Singh, the versatile actor who has impressed the audience with his diverse roles, is all set to reprise his super cop character Simmba in the upcoming film Singham Again. The film, directed by Rohit Shetty, stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role as DCP Bajirao Singham, the iconic cop from the Singham franchise.
Ranveer shares his BTS pic as Simmba
Ranveer Singh recently shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the sets of Singham Again on his Instagram story. In the picture, he is seen flaunting his muscular physique in a black vest and matching trousers. He is also sporting his signature Simmba look, with a twirled mustache and black aviator glasses. He added the Singham theme song and a Simmba sticker to the picture, showing his excitement for the film.
Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again
Singham Again is the fifth film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, which began with Singham in 2011. The film was followed by Singham Returns in 2014, Simmba in 2018, and Sooryavanshi in 2023. Ranveer Singh made his debut in the cop universe as Sangram Simmba Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer who turns into a hero after a tragic incident. The film also starred Sara Ali Khan as his love interest and featured cameo appearances by Ajay Devgn.
Singham Again marks the return of Ajay Devgn as Bajirao Singham, the honest and fearless cop who fights against injustice and corruption. The film is expected to release in the second half of 2024 and promises to be a high-octane action thriller with some comedy and drama. Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar are set to make special appearances as their characters from the cop-verse. The film is also expected to feature new cops, played by Tiger Shroff and First Lady cop played by Deepika Padukone. Arjun Kapoor is rumoured to play a villain against all 5 supercops.

Ranveer Singh’s projects
Ranveer Singh has been busy with multiple projects this year. He was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, a romantic comedy directed by Karan Johar. The film was a huge hit at the box office and received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Ranveer Singh played Rocky Randhawa, a charming and flamboyant man who falls in love with Rani Kapoor, played by Alia Bhatt. The film also starred Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
Ranveer Singh is also set to take on the role of Don in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. A remake of the 1978 film of the same name starring Amitabh Bachchan, the film was a major success and was followed by a sequel titled Don 2.
This news of starring Ranveer Singh didn’t go well with the fans of Shah Rukh Khan who were waiting to see their favorite star in the third installment after so many years. However, there is a section of the audience that has welcomed this change and feels it was the need of the hour.
