The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared the Ranveer Singh led action thriller, and the certificate confirms an unusually long final cut, signalling a massive, event style sequel that is going all in on scale and storytelling.

As per the CBFC certificate issued by the Mumbai regional office dated March 17, 2026, Dhurandhar The Revenge has been awarded an A (Adult) certificate. The document also locks the certified length at 229.6 minutes, which translates to a final runtime of 3 hours, 49 minutes, and 36 seconds.
The certificate lists B62 Studios Private Limited and Jio Studios as producers, with B62 Studios also named as the applicant. The film is directed by Aditya Dhar, who is also credited as a producer along with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. Key technical credits on the certificate include Vikash Nowlakha as director of photography and Shivkumar V. Panicker as editor.
The synopsis on the censor document outlines the film’s plot pivot: after the death of Rehman Dakait, Indian agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari, begins plotting his rise within Pakistan’s gangster terror political ecosystem to bring India’s enemies to justice. Dhurandhar 2 has sold nearly 1.5 million tickets in advance across India, with almost half of those from paid preview screenings set for Wednesday. The advance booking figures continue to rise. The film has already secured around 5.30 lac tickets for paid previews. Day 1 advance sales have contributed an additional 2.30 lac tickets. On a global scale, the Ranveer Singh film has surpassed $5 million in North American pre-sales, pushing total global advance bookings beyond Rs 125 crore.
