Chand Mera Dil Drops Aitbaar, Sachin-Jigar And Faheem Abdullah Deliver A Bruised Ballad For Ananya Panday And Lakshya

With Aitbaar, Chand Mera Dil takes a decisive turn into heartbreak. Unveiled on April 21 as the film’s second single, the track expands the emotional world of the Ananya Panday and Lakshya starrer, shifting from the tenderness of the title song to the heavier silence that follows when a relationship begins to change.

Composed by Sachin-Jigar, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Faheem Abdullah, Aitbaar is pitched as an intimate heartbreak ballad rather than a sweeping breakup number. The visuals featuring Ananya and Lakshya stay understated, allowing glances, pauses and physical distance to shape the mood. That restraint gives the song its pull and makes it a key emotional marker in the film’s soundtrack.

Aitbaar Turns Chand Mera Dil Toward Heartbreak

Explaining the idea behind the composition, Sachin-Jigar said, “With Aitbaar, we wanted to create something intense yet intimate where its music reflects that slow, quiet drift between two people. The melody is simple, minimal and we’ve let the feelings stay at the centre. The composition holds that weight and Faheem’s voice brings out that ache in a way that feels completely real.”

Faheem Abdullah echoed that emotional intensity in his description of the track. “Aitbaar comes from an extremely honest and vulnerable emotional space. The title track had a certain softness to it, but with Aitbaar, I had to go deeper into the emotion. It needed more intensity, more ache. It’s that feeling when you’re still holding on, but you can sense things slipping and I tried to bring that into every line I sang,” he said.

Director Vivek Soni placed the song at a crucial point in the story, saying, “Aitbaar is one of the most emotionally significant moments in the film. It captures what often remains unsaid when a relationship begins to change. I wanted the song to feel intimate and real, where the silences speak as much as the words. The music and performances come together to create a space that feels deeply personal and honest.”

That creative intent also sharpens the film’s musical identity. Presented by Dharma Productions, Chand Mera Dil stars Ananya Panday and Lakshya in the lead and is directed by Vivek Soni. The romantic drama is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 22, 2026.

Why The Ananya Panday And Lakshya Pairing Fits This Album

What makes Aitbaar land is the contrast in the lead pair’s screen energy. Ananya brings softness and emotional openness to the frame, while Lakshya carries a more guarded intensity. In a song built around distance, hesitation and unsaid feeling, that interplay gives the visuals a lived-in rhythm rather than a staged sense of sorrow.

The pairing also suits the soundtrack’s design. With the title track leaning into romantic warmth and Aitbaar moving into pain and uncertainty, Chand Mera Dil appears to be using its music to map the changing tone of the central relationship. Ananya and Lakshya fit that structure well because their presence allows the songs to feel like chapters in the same emotional journey, not disconnected promotional releases.

That alignment between casting and music stands out as one of the film’s strongest early signals. If the album continues in this vein, Chand Mera Dil could arrive in theatres on May 22 with a soundtrack that has already done much of the emotional storytelling for its audience.
