As reported by Bollywood Hungama, during a recent special screening held in Delhi, Murlikant Petkar was deeply moved by the depiction of his life. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude and said, “Whenever I watch it, it brings tears to my eyes. The film took me back in time, reminding me of the trials and triumphs that shaped my journey.”
The screening served as a poignant reminder of the power of storytelling in commemorating the remarkable achievements and indomitable spirit of para-athletes like Murlikant Petkar.
As India prepares for the Paris Paralympics, the event stands as a beacon of hope, highlighting the boundless potential and unwavering resolve within the Indian para-sports fraternity.

About Chandu Champion
Chandu Champion is a biographical sports drama film directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Kartik Aaryan as India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar.
The film received a UA certification from the Central Board of Film Certification and has a runtime of 143 minutes.
It chronicles Petkar’s journey from being a boxer and soldier to becoming a swimmer. Set against the backdrop of the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war, where Petkar was injured and left with a lasting physical disability, the film pays homage to his remarkable life.
