Netflix India is expanding its successful movie lineup with a sequel. It was recently reported that Raat Akeli Hai has been confirmed to get a second instalment. Now, the streaming giant is ready to come up with a sequel to the 2023 heist thriller Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga. Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal will return in their memorable roles.
As per a Peeping Moon report, Yami will reprise Neha Grover, the flight attendant tangled in deception, while Sunny will once again play Ankit Sethi, the diamond insurance owner seeking revenge. The story will pick up right where the first film left off.
Ajay Singh To Direct Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga Sequel
Directed by Ajay Singh (who also directed the first film) the sequel will continue the suspense-filled journey. Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik of Maddock Films will produce the project.
It has been told that Sharad Kelkar and Indraneil Sengupta are expected to return as RAW officers Parvez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Roy, respectively.
Yami Gautam To Shoot The Sequel After Shah Bano Case Project
Filming for Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga 2 is expected to begin in the first half of 2025. Yami will start filming after wrapping up Junglee Pictures’ movie based on the 1985 Shah Bano Case. She will also be returning to screens after the birth of her baby in May 2024. Her recent roles include Article 370 and a romantic comedy with Pratik Gandhi.
Sunny Kaushal will next appear in Shiddat 2 opposite Wamiqa Gabbi. He also has a coming-of-age drama, Letters to Mr. Khanna, though its release has been delayed for two years.
