Have you been waiting for updates on the highly anticipated Cocktail 2? Well, the team has hit a roadblock. The upcoming film starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna was supposed to begin shooting in Delhi from November 12. However, the makers have decided to postpone the schedule due to multiple concerns.
The seven day shooting schedule in the capital city has been delayed because of two major reasons. First, Delhi’s air quality has reached alarming levels with a deteriorating Air Quality Index. Second, the recent blast near the Red Fort has created heightened security tensions across the city. These factors combined forced the production team to reconsider their plans.
Old Delhi Schedule Affected
According to sources close to the production, the team had planned extensive filming in Old Delhi areas. The combination of poor air conditions and increased security measures following the blast made it difficult to proceed with the original schedule. The health and safety of the cast and crew remain the top priority for the makers.
The source revealed that Shahid Kapoor along with his co stars Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna were ready to arrive in Delhi for the week long shoot. The detailed schedule had been finalized well in advance. However, the current situation in the capital made them rethink the timing.
December Reschedule On Cards
The good news is that the Delhi schedule has only been postponed and not cancelled. The makers are now looking at December as a possible window for the shoot. If everything goes well and conditions improve, the team will head to Delhi next month. The exact dates for the rescheduled shoot will reportedly be finalized by the end of November.
