The first major promotional beat of Cocktail 2 has been pushed ahead by a few days. The trailer launch of the Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon starrer, which was earlier planned for tomorrow, May 29, will now take place on June 2.
For a film carrying the easy recall of the Cocktail brand and the fresh pull of a new lead trio, the trailer is expected to be the campaign’s first big public moment. The revised date now places the reveal at the start of June, giving Maddock Films a clearer promotional stretch before the film reaches cinemas later in the month.

Maddock Films has rescheduled the Cocktail 2 trailer launch. The trailer was earlier lined up for May 29, but the studio has now shifted the event to June 2.
The change is limited to the trailer launch date. Cocktail 2 remains scheduled for a theatrical release on June 19, 2026. With the trailer now arriving a little closer to release, the makers are expected to use the June 2 launch to formally introduce the film’s tone, music and central relationship dynamic to audiences.
The casting has already given the film strong curiosity value. Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon reunite after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, while Rashmika Mandanna brings her growing pan India appeal to the Maddock Films backed romantic space. Together, the trio gives Cocktail 2 a high visibility combination for the 2026 Hindi film calendar.
Homi Adajania Returns To The Cocktail Space
Cocktail 2 is directed by Homi Adajania, who also directed the 2012 film Cocktail. The upcoming Hindi romantic comedy stars Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, with Maddock Films among the production banners associated with the project.
The film is positioned as a spiritual sequel rather than a direct continuation of the earlier story. While the makers have not opened up the plot in detail, the Cocktail name places the film in a world of modern romance, friendship, emotional complications and glossy urban relationships.
