After months of speculation, it’s finally confirmed that Salman Khan and Atlee are joining forces for a high-octane, pan-India action film. This collaboration promises to be a game-changer, featuring not just Salman, but potentially Tamil cinema legend Kamal Haasan in a parallel lead role.
Salman Khan & Atlee Team Up For A Pan-India Action Film
Sources close to the project revealed to Peeping Moon that Salman and Atlee have been discussing this partnership for some time. “Salman and Atlee have been discussing a possible collaboration since last year. However, momentum picked up rapidly when the Jawan director pitched Salman an idea for a two-hero film. Salman was intrigued by the outline of the story and asked him to develop a full script before furthering their discussions. It all took place roughly three months ago. Cut to a few weeks ago, Atlee narrated the script to Salman, and he found it so compelling that he immediately gave his approval. Salman and Atlee are formally collaborating, and this is going to be a complete madness,” a source shared.
Salman Is Personally Discussing The Project With Kamal Haasan For A Parallel Lead Role
Atlee is now waiting on Kamal Haasan’s final approval before moving forward with pre-production. Reports suggest that Salman is personally reaching out to Haasan to persuade him to join the project.
A joint narration with Haasan will happen soon with the possibility of the actor confirming their collaboration. Atlee, fresh off the success of Bollywood’s blockbuster Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan, is orchestrating one of the most anticipated casting coups in recent times.
The film’s plot and character details remain under wraps, but insiders hint that this will be Atlee’s most ambitious project yet. Known for his high-energy, mass-entertainment films, Atlee is crafting a narrative that blends action, romance, and emotional depth. The story is expected to be complex and layered, setting the stage for a memorable cinematic experience.
While production dates are not finalised, Atlee plans to start shooting in January 2025. Pre-production is set to begin in October, with a special announcement promo likely to precede the main shoot.

Salman is currently working on A.R. Murugadoss’ Sikandar. Kamal Haasan will finish up Thug Life and Indian 3 before potentially joining this high-profile project.
Additionally, Salman is scheduled to make a cameo in Atlee’s debut Hindi film, Baby John. Although his appearance was initially set for August 25, this has been postponed due to his commitments to Sikandar.
