Rajinikanth’s next film Coolie is grabbing attention for all the good reasons. Upendra Rao has now confirmed that the film features scenes with Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, and himself.
At a press event in Hyderabad for his film 45, Upendra shared his experience working on Coolie. He praised Rajinikanth and spoke about what it meant to be part of the project.

He said, “I did not ask him anything, but when Lokesh garu told me the story. All I said was it’s enough even if I get to stand next to him (Rajinikanth) for a few minutes. Because if I’m Ekalavya, he’s my Dronacharya. If he gave everyone entertainment, he gave me enlightenment. Rajini sir is like that, and I’m blessed to have worked with him.”
Upendra also confirmed that he filmed scenes with Aamir Khan and Nagarjuna. When asked about it, he shared, “Yeah, yeah, we have combination scenes together.”
With names like these in one frame, Coolie will be more than just another Rajini film. Aamir Khan is expected to appear in a key cameo, though the makers haven’t revealed much about his role.

Besides the above-mentioned actors, Pooja Hegde has also joined the cast for a special dance number & will add some sparkle to this action-heavy drama.
Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir are also part of the supporting cast. Rajinikanth will be seen playing a character with grey shades, and fans are already curious about his new avatar.
Coolie will release in cinemas on August 14, right before the Independence Day. Sun Pictures is producing the film. Anirudh Ravichander is handling the music. Unlike Lokesh’s other films, Coolie is not part of the LCU.
