David Dhawan is one of the finest directors of the industry he had given us such amazing romcoms. Even though giving 44 films in the past the director had never felt as nervous as his upcoming film which is a remake of his 1995 hit Coolie No 1. The film previously featured Govinda and Karisma Kapoor.
Now the new version of the film will have his Son Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali khan. Talking about the film the director told a daily, “Govinda and Karisma created magic on screen. No one can equal them. No one should even try. Varun and Sara are in a completely different zone, free of the burden of trying to be like their predecessors.”
He feels it will be unfair to compare the veteran and new actors, “Agreed I am remaking my own film. So there will be comparisons. But what I’m saying is, the two pairs belong to different eras. It’s like comparing a Bentley with a Porsche. They are not comparable.”
There were rumors that Govinda and Karisma will be making a guest appearance in the new Coolie No.1. However, nothing is clear yet.
