Now, a source close to the development told Pinkvilla that veteran actor Anil Kapoor joins the stellar cast. Kapoor reportedly loved the script and quickly accepted the role after reading it. The humour level is expected to be high in the sequel considering the outstanding dynamics of Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn.
Penned by the talented duo Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain, the sequel is set to commence filming in June 2024 against the picturesque backdrop of London. The film is slated for a much-anticipated release on May 1, 2025, promising audiences a delightful cinematic experience.
With a stellar cast, an engaging storyline, and promises of laughter galore, De De Pyaar De 2 is already generating buzz as one of the most-awaited films of 2025.
Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor’s Work Front
Ajay Devgn recently starred in the biography drama Maidaan and the thriller Shaitaan alongside Jyotika and R. Madhavan. While Maidaan didn’t quite work its charm at the box office, Shaitaan received positive responses. Currently, Devgn has exciting projects lined up, including Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha with Tabu, Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, and Raid 2.
Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor, last seen in Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, hasn’t confirmed his next project yet.
