Shahid Kapoor is gearing up to make Valentine’s Day 2025 an action-packed affair with his highly anticipated film, Deva.
The film, which also stars Pooja Hegde, has been one of the most talked-about projects of the year. Directed by Roshhan Andrrews, Deva promises to deliver high-octane thrills and drama.
Deva Release Pushed To Valentine’s Day 2025
On July 19, Shahid Kapoor took to Instagram to share a new look from Deva and announce a change in the film’s release date. Originally slated for October 11, 2024, the film will now hit theatres on February 14, 2025.
Kapoor’s latest post featured him in a fierce new avatar, dressed as a rebellious police officer. He sports a body protector marked ‘POLICE’ and wields a gun, complemented by a rugged physique, short hair, stubble beard, and stylish eyeglasses.
The Instagram caption read, “Get ready for a VIOLENT VALENTINE’S DAY DEVA, releasing in theatres on 14th Feb 2025!” Check it out below!
Deva Wraps Up Shoot
The filming of Deva recently concluded, with the team celebrating the wrap-up on July 9. Although Shahid Kapoor was not present at the wrap-up party, the cast and crew enjoyed a cake-cutting ceremony and a celebratory event to mark the end of production.
Shahid Kapoor’s First Look In Deva
Shahid Kapoor’s first look from Deva was unveiled on 24 October 2023, coinciding with Dussehra. In the reveal, Kapoor looked strikingly stylish in a white shirt and beige pants, setting high expectations for the film’s visual style and storytelling.

Deva is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur under Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films. The film is helmed by acclaimed Malayalam director Roshhan Andrrews. Shahid Kapoor plays a brilliant but defiant police officer, while Pooja Hegde stars as a journalist.
The cast also includes Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait. Notably, Kubbra Sait will take on the role of a police officer and is set to perform action sequences, adding another layer of intrigue to the film.
