The comedy calendar for 2026 just got a lively shake-up. Dhamaal 4, one of Hindi cinema’s most recognisable laugh franchises, has moved closer to audiences, with the makers now eyeing an earlier theatrical arrival for the Ajay Devgn-led ensemble entertainer. For a series that has thrived on chaos, chases and crowd-friendly humour, the move gives fans one less week to wait.
Dhamaal 4 Gets A New July Date
Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Dhamaal 4 has been preponed by a week and will now release in cinemas on July 10, 2026, instead of its earlier July 17 date.
A source close to the film revealed, “ Dhamaal 4 was originally scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 17. It’ll now release a week earlier, on July 10. There has been buzz in the trade that Alpha is releasing on July 3. So, the July 10 slot is now vacant and hence, the makers of Dhamaal 4 decided to take up the date. They feel that July 10 is apt for their film and would be a treat for the fans as they’ll get to see the comic caper a week earlier. An official announcement is expected soon.”
The change positions the film right in the heart of the July release window, giving the franchise a cleaner landing and an added promotional advantage. With the official announcement expected soon, the revised date is likely to set the campaign in motion for one of next year’s biggest comedy releases.
Ajay Devgn And Indra Kumar Return To The Dhamaal Zone
Dhamaal 4 is directed by Indra Kumar and brings Ajay Devgn back to the franchise after Total Dhamaal. The film also features returning favourites Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi, along with Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan.
The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Devgn Films. It is a T-Series Films, Maruti International and Panorama Studios production, produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Anand Pandit and Kumar Mangat Pathak.
The premise continues the franchise’s brand of ensemble-driven comedy, built around mistaken motives, madcap situations and characters sprinting into trouble faster than they can escape it. The series began with Dhamaal in 2007, followed by Double Dhamaal in 2011 and Total Dhamaal in 2019. The third film was a strong commercial performer, collecting Rs. 154.23 crores in India and reinforcing the franchise’s wide family audience base.
With Dhamaal 4 now dated for July 10, 2026, the makers appear to be moving early to claim a promising slot for a film designed squarely for theatrical laughter.
