Dhurandhar 2 Release Date Preponed, Ranveer Singh Starrer To Open With March 18 Paid Previews Ahead Of Full Fledge March 19 Worldwide Release

Bollywood’s biggest March 2026 release is going for a full-blown festive launch, and the makers are clearly in no mood to leave even a single show unsold. With just days to go as of March 6, 2026, the team behind Dhurandhar 2 has finalised a release plan that leans hard into momentum, scale, and the holiday window.

The spy action sequel, headlined by Ranveer Singh, is now being positioned for a longer opening run right from the first evening, signalling the kind of confidence reserved for a tentpole designed to dominate the weekend conversation.

March 18 Paid Previews, March 19 Theatrical Release

Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Dhurandhar 2 will begin paid preview shows on March 18 from 5 PM onwards in India, ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The strategy aligns with the Eid holiday period and is expected to help the film maximise its first-day admissions, especially with show allocations likely to become tight once the full release day kicks in.

The same plan is also being timed with the film’s trailer and advance sales push. As per the rollout outlined by the makers’ campaign, the trailer is set to drop on March 7 at 11:01 PM, and advance bookings are expected to open soon after the trailer launch, with paid preview tickets going live as part of that post-trailer surge.

The distribution plan also factors in the film’s unusually long runtime, which limits the number of daily shows on release day. Starting previews the previous evening gives exhibitors additional programming room, and could lead to overnight, round-the-clock scheduling at select properties from March 18 evening into March 19.

What We Know About Dhurandhar 2 So Far

Dhurandhar 2, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is a spy action thriller written and directed by Aditya Dhar, who is also producing it. The film is presented by Jio Studios and produced under B62 Studios, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar named as producers.

The sequel is releasing in five languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Ranveer Singh leads the cast, with Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Rakesh Bedi also featuring in key roles.

Ranveer Singh’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ranveer Singh’s most recent release is Dhurandhar, which hit theatres in December 2025 and later debuted on Netflix on January 30, 2026. The film’s scale and theatrical pull re-established him as a front-foot box office driver, setting the stage for the sequel’s aggressive rollout.

Before that phase, Ranveer was seen in Rohit Shetty’s ensemble actioner Cirkus (2022). He also featured in the multi-starrer cop-universe film Singham Again (2024), reprising his popular Simmba avatar.

Coming up immediately, the actor returns to the big screen with Dhurandhar: The Revenge on March 19, 2026, now with paid previews from March 18 evening.
