Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge Locks PVR INOX Distribution Deal Across Four Major Markets

Just when trade chatter around Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge was peaking, the film has landed a pivotal piece of its theatrical puzzle. With Eid 2026 positioning already in place and the sequel being mounted as a bigger, wider play than the first instalment, the makers have now firmed up a key distribution alliance that signals serious intent on the ground.

Ranveer Singh returns as the face of Aditya Dhar’s high-octane spy universe, and the stakes are higher this time, not just in scale but also in how the film is being set up across territories where Hindi cinema’s reach has been rapidly evolving over the last few years.

The Latest Update: PVR INOX To Distribute The Film In Four Major Territories

PVR INOX has come on board as the distributor for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge across four major Indian markets: Central Provinces and Berar, Central India, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The move is particularly significant because the exhibitor and distribution giant had also handled the first Dhurandhar in these circuits, indicating a continuity strategy that worked the first time around and is now being doubled down on.

The sequel, backed by Jio Studios along with Aditya Dhar’s B62 Studios, is locked for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026, aligning with the Eid holiday corridor. Unlike the first film’s Hindi-only release, Dhurandhar 2 is expanding its footprint with confirmed releases across five languages, namely Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Jio Studios has also stated that the five-language rollout comes “following South India demand,” underlining why a focused distribution plan in Tamil Nadu and Kerala matters.

On the casting front, the sequel is stacked: Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun are confirmed to co-star alongside Ranveer Singh. The film is also set for a major box office face-off, with Yash’s action drama Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups arriving on the same date.

Film Details That Matter Right Now

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film is positioned as a spy action drama and continues the franchise launched with Dhurandhar, which released theatrically on December 5, 2025. The sequel is currently slated for March 19, 2026.

Ranveer Singh’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ranveer Singh’s most recent theatrical release is Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar (2025), which emerged as a blockbuster and crossed Rs 1,300 crore worldwide gross, with reports also placing its India tally above Rs 830 crore. On the OTT front, Dhurandhar began streaming on Netflix from January 30, 2026, extending its run well beyond cinemas.

Before that, Singh’s last major theatrical release was Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023). Looking ahead, the actor’s biggest confirmed next theatrical event after Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is Don 3, with Farhan Akhtar having confirmed the film is on track and set to begin filming.
