Dhurandhar Marks 75 Days In Cinemas As Aditya Dhar Film Keeps Running Post Netflix Debut

Dhurandhar has completed 75 days in theatres on February 17, 2026, underlining a rare long-haul run for a modern Hindi tentpole even as audience viewing habits tilt sharply toward frontloaded weekends and quick streaming transitions. The Aditya Dhar-directed spy action thriller opened in cinemas on December 5, 2025, backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, and has continued to hold screens across India and several overseas markets.

The film’s box office momentum has been sustained by strong word of mouth and repeat viewing, with trade trackers noting that it remained a steady draw not only in metro circuits but also in smaller centres. That consistency has continued despite multiple new releases arriving over the past several weeks.

75 days milestone arrives as theatrical run continues after OTT premiere

The latest update is the 75-day theatrical milestone achieved today, with Dhurandhar still playing in select cinemas even after its OTT premiere. The film began streaming on Netflix on January 30, 2026, a window that often leads to a sharp decline in theatrical footfalls. In this case, the title continued to post meaningful occupancy in pockets, signalling unusually durable audience pull.

On the business front, widely tracked cumulative figures put the film’s worldwide gross at Rs 1,349.65 crore, comprising Rs 1,056.62 crore gross in India and Rs 293.03 crore overseas. The numbers have helped the film consolidate its position among the highest-grossing Hindi releases and establish a global footprint that extends beyond traditional diaspora-heavy markets.

Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and others. The story follows an Indian intelligence operative who goes undercover in Karachi’s criminal ecosystem to dismantle a terror network, blending espionage stakes with an ensemble-driven action format.

With the first film still in cinemas, focus is also building around the franchise’s second chapter, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which has been officially titled and is set for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
