There is growing confidence in the trade around Do Deewane Seher Mein, the upcoming Hindi romantic drama starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Backed by Zee Studios and Bhansali Productions, the film has been positioned as a big-screen romance for an urban, 25-plus audience that has largely relied on OTT for contemporary love stories.
The project, directed by Ravi Udyawar and written by Abhiruchi Chand, was announced in November 2025 with the makers confirming a Valentine’s week theatrical date. Since then, the campaign has leaned into the film’s city-rooted tone and music-forward pitch, with the cast stepping up promotions in early 2026.
Latest update: Teaser out, film locked for February 20, 2026
The key update is that the teaser for Do Deewane Seher Mein has been unveiled, reaffirming that the film is slated to release in cinemas on February 20, 2026. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur play Shashank and Roshni, respectively, in what the makers have described as an “imperfectly imperfect love story.”
Chaturvedi also shared a personal note around the film after the announcement, writing on Instagram Stories: “Do Deewane Seher Mein- a film so close to my heart. I’ll be honest. I was going through something of my own while shooting for this one. And the journey somewhere healed me. I hope it does the same to you… They say there’s nothing such as perfect, all you need is Someone imperfect worth fighting for. See us at our most vulnerable selves, all heart, the perfect misfits, a cute mess coming to theatres this Valentine’s.”
The cast also includes Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta, Ayesha Raza, Viraj Gehlani, Sandeepa Dhar and Deepraj Rana in pivotal roles.
For exhibitors, the positioning is clear: a rooted, theatrical romance timed for the Valentine corridor, when relationship-driven films traditionally find wider acceptance among date-night audiences.
