CBFC Orders 45 To 50 Cuts For Dhurandhar The Revenge Tv Version, Runtime Drops By 10 Minutes

The television run of Dhurandhar The Revenge is arriving with a significantly altered cut. Ahead of its Star Gold premiere on October 18, the Ranveer Singh-led action blockbuster has been cleared for TV only after extensive modifications, with the revised version running 10 minutes shorter than the theatrical print.

Cbfc Clears A Shorter Tv Version

The film was originally released in theatres with an A certificate, which meant a fresh certification process was required for satellite broadcast. The Central Board of Film Certification passed the television version with a U/A 16+ certificate on September 24.

For its TV certification, Dhurandhar The Revenge underwent 45 to 50 cuts, largely focused on violent and gory visuals from the original version. The final approved television cut runs 219 minutes and 6 seconds, down from the theatrical runtime of 229 minutes and 6 seconds.

That reduction brings the difference to exactly 10 minutes, a notable trim for a film built around sustained action and brutal combat imagery. The new version has been cleared for a broader home audience without changing the film’s central plotline.

Star Gold Premiere Date Locked

The film is scheduled to premiere on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18 at 7:00 pm. For a title that enjoyed a powerful theatrical run and later posted strong traction on OTT, the satellite debut marks the next major leg of its post-release journey.

The scale of the television edits also highlights how intensely the theatrical version was designed for adult audiences. With the U/A 16+ certification now in place, the satellite premiere opens the film up to a wider viewership base.

Cast, Crew And Story Details

Dhurandhar The Revenge is directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, and Jyoti Deshpande under B62 Studios and Jio Studios. The ensemble cast includes Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun.

The 2026 Hindi spy action thriller serves as the second part of the Dhurandhar story. It follows an Indian spy operating deep inside Karachi as he infiltrates a dangerous criminal network and triggers chaos from within. The film released in cinemas on March 19, 2026.

Ranveer Singh’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ranveer Singh’s recent release timeline includes Singham Again in 2024, followed by Dhurandhar in 2025 and Dhurandhar The Revenge in 2026. The Dhurandhar films have kept him firmly in the big-ticket action space over the last two years.

His next confirmed headline project remains Pralay. The television premiere of Dhurandhar The Revenge is likely to keep that momentum going, giving Singh another high-visibility outing on the small screen before his next major release.
