With sequel fever peaking on March 12, 2026, the Dhurandhar franchise is leaning into a full-scale big screen moment. Jio Studios and B62 Studios have locked a rare worldwide theatrical re-release of Dhurandhar, timed just days before the next chapter, Dhurandhar The Revenge, arrives in cinemas on March 19, 2026.
The strategy is clear and very event-film coded, pull audiences back into the world of Aditya Dhar’s spy-action saga, then roll them straight into the sequel within the same week.
The Latest Update: Dhurandhar’s Global Re-Release Begins March 13
Jio Studios and B62 Studios are re-releasing Dhurandhar across approximately 500 screens worldwide. The India leg is planned across about 250 screens starting March 12, while the overseas rollout begins March 13 across around 250 screens. In North America, the film is slated to return across nearly 185 screens, underlining the franchise’s overseas pull and the appetite for a theatrical refresher ahead of the sequel.
Adding to the momentum, Dhurandhar The Revenge is also set to open with special Wednesday premiere shows across the USA and Canada on March 18, a day ahead of its worldwide release. The sequel’s premieres are expected to play largely on Premium Large Format screens, with Dolby Atmos and other enhanced presentation formats that are typically prioritised for major event titles.
