Dibakar Banerjee is one of the most respected and interesting directors in Bollywood. His films keep on pushing the creative envelope and are very fulfilling for the viewers. In 2010, he directed India’s first found-footage movie called Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD). The film was backed by Ekta Kapoor‘s ALT Balaji and became a sleeper hit with rave reviews. It starred Nushrat Bharrucha, Anshuman Jha, and debutant Rajkummar Rao among others.
Now, the duo of Ekta and Dibakar are back in action for a sequel. Dibakar is working on its sequel titled, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 (LSD 2). While the first installment focused on love in the times of cameras, the sequel will explore the possibilities of love and sex in the times of the internet and social media. The film will release in the theatres on 16th Feb 2024 during Valentine’s Day week. The makers recently released a teaser poster for the announcement. It features a person snorting social media likes like a drug.

LSD 2 To Clash With Akshay’s Next Film
LSD 2 will be clashing in the theatres with Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan’s untitled film as the latter has also locked its release date on 16 February 2024. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara and is an official remake of the 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, starring Surya. While the scale and storyline of both these films are very different, it would be interesting to see how the audiences respond to this clash at the box office.
