Maddock Films’ Dinesh Vijan is diving back into the zombie world after more than a decade. After the success of Saif Ali Khan starrer Go Goa Gone in 2013, he is now working on a brand-new zombie comedy. The film will go on floors in the second half of 2025.
Dinesh Vijan All Set To Produce A Fresh Zombie-Comedy After 12 Years
Sources say the film is already in the development stage. This new project will not be linked to Go Goa Gone. Instead, it will introduce a fresh take on zombies.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “From Stree to Munjya and Bhediya, Dinoo has always come up with path-breaking content in the comedy genre, and his next in the zombie world also promises to be a big screen experience.”
This zombie comedy will be a fun ride for horror-comedy fans. The story features a strong female lead and a young male character. The makers have started casting. They will announce the full cast once all roles are final.
The film could also kick off a brand-new franchise. Since it has no connection to Go Goa Gone, Dinesh Vijan can explore a new world and storyline. That makes this project even more exciting.
Dinesh Vijan’s Upcoming Projects
Over the years, the producer has built a successful horror-comedy universe. It includes hits like Stree, Stree 2, Bhediya, and Munjya. He is also working on Stree 3, along with other upcoming titles like Thama, Chamunda, and Shakti Shalini.
Apart from this, Vijan is preparing to shoot Cocktail 2. Homi Adajania will direct it. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and buzz suggests Rashmika Mandanna is also on board.
Vijan is also busy with other projects. He is ready to release Bhool Chuk Maaf on May 9. Films like Tehran, Ikkis, Thama, and Diler are also in his pipeline.
