The movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was a huge success when it was released in 2001 and gained a devoted following. Because of its popularity, fans have been eagerly waiting for the sequel, Gadar 2, to continue the epic saga. In an exciting update, director Anil Sharma recently shared on Twitter that the remaining filming for the highly anticipated sequel has been completed.
The director also encouraged fans to mark the occasion by watching the original movie Gadar on the big screen, as it is set to be re-released on June 9. This special edition of the film has been remastered in 4K quality and will be presented with Dolby Atmos sound. In his tweet, Sharma mentioned that it was the last day of the patchwork shoot for Gadar 2 and invited everyone to join in the celebration. He also mentioned that Gadar 2 will be releasing on August 11. So, to increase the excitement, he suggested watching the original Gadar: Ek Prem Katha on June 9 in theaters, where it will be showcased in high-quality 4K with Dolby sound.
Accompanying the tweet, the director delighted fans by sharing a thrilling video that captured the lively atmosphere on the set. In the video, the entire crew could be seen joyfully dancing to the popular track ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ from the original Gadar film. The infectious energy displayed in the video quickly spread like wildfire, generating a surge of excitement among fans who are eagerly anticipating the release of Gadar 2.

Gadar 2 Set To Clash With Animal
The much-anticipated sequel, Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, is scheduled to hit the theaters on August 11, just a few days before India’s Independence Day on August 15. Interestingly, it will face a box-office clash with the star-studded film Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol.
