The filmmaker and actor revealed on Instagram that he’s returning to Ladakh, sharing a stunning photo of the region and the message, “Back in Ladakh after Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to shoot for a very special film.”
This announcement has led fans to speculate whether the project could be Don 3 or Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) 2.
Farhan Akhtar Announces A ‘Special Film’ Shoot In Ladakh
On August 28, Farhan posted a breathtaking image of Ladakh, showcasing its majestic beauty. He recalled his previous projects that were filmed in the region, including Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
Farhan teased that he will be working on a special film and promised more details will be revealed soon. His announcement quickly stirred excitement among fans, who began to speculate about the nature of the project.
The comments section of Farhan’s post was flooded with guesses and excitement. Many fans are hoping the new film will be Don 3, a sequel to his hit action franchise.

Farhan’s previous films Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag both featured memorable sequences shot in Ladakh. Lakshya included scenes at Chang La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, while Bhaag Milkha Bhaag highlighted the region’s breathtaking landscapes and challenging terrain. The latter film showcased iconic locations like Pangong Lake, Hemis Monastery, and Leh Palace.
Farhan Akhtar Announced Don 3 With Ranveer Singh Last Year
Last year, Farhan Akhtar announced that Don 3 is in the works with Ranveer Singh set to star. Fresh rumours also suggest that Sobhita Dhulipala might join the cast, possibly for an item number. Reports indicate she has been approached for a role and is in discussions with Farhan Akhtar, having had several meetings with the director.
Fans are eagerly awaiting more news on Farhan Akhtar’s latest project, and whether it will indeed be a new chapter for Don or a sequel to ZNMD.
