Ranveer Singh To Step Into the Don’s Shoes; Vikrant Massey as the Antagonist
According to a report, Don 3 will commence production in September with Ranveer Singh in the stylish shoes of titular Don and Vikrant Massey playing the antagonist. Farhan Akhtar is excited to start this new chapter and is currently wrapping up 120 Bahadur. Sources confirmed the first schedule will include key scenes with both lead actors.
Why Ranveer Singh Is Replacing Shah Rukh Khan
In a previous discussion with Raj Shwami, Farhan explained his casting choice:
“This Don needs a different style of performace — one that restrains everything inside. Ranveer hasn’t done it, and I thought it would be a fun challenge for him.”
He added that the change also fits into their desire to reboot the series for a new generation.

Both the initial Don reboot (2006), which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, and its 2011 sequel blew up at the box office, and now, after a decade, Don 3 is ready to continue the legacy — reimagined, reloaded, and with a whole new vibe.
