Earlier, it was reported that Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi released in cinemas without permission.

In a recent update, Sai Samarth Cinema Musalgoan and Nathganga Cinema Loni In Maharashtra are going to play Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No. 1 in their cinemas through the downloaded copy.

Although, this is not the first time that these cinema owners are playing films without permission that have released directly on OTT platforms. Before this Bhumi Pednekar starrer Durgamati, which was released on Amazon Prime Videos was also played by these cinema owners in their respective cinemas. The theater owners also openly did marketing about the same on their Facebook page.

This is not only happening with films but the IPL finale are screening in cinemas without any permission from the broadcaster or producers.

With Coronavirus Pandemic destroying a lot of businesses around the world, cinema owners are facing a lot of difficulties too as many filmmakers are now playing safe and releasing their films on OTT platforms. Due to this, cinema owners are left with nothing but to take such steps and break the rules.
