The star has landed in Hyderabad after finishing a major overseas schedule in Jordan for his much-anticipated first collaboration with director Prashanth Neel, a project that has been positioned as a big-scale, pan-Indian action spectacle from day one.
What is adding an extra edge to the update is the pace. The Jordan leg, designed to mount some of the film’s most ambitious action beats, has reportedly been completed ahead of plan, with the unit packing up and heading back to India once the key sequences were canned.
Jr NTR Wraps Jordan Schedule And Returns To Hyderabad
Jr NTR was spotted at the Hyderabad airport on Monday morning after the team called it a wrap on the Jordan schedule. The overseas stint is understood to have focused heavily on high-octane set pieces, with the makers prioritising large-scale action blocks during the international shoot.
The film is still officially referred to as NTR31, but it continues to be widely reported under the working title Dragon. The makers have not formally announced the final title yet.
What We Know About The Prashanth Neel Jr NTR Film So Far
Prashanth Neel, who previously delivered KGF and Salaar, is directing the film as an action entertainer designed for a multi-language, pan-India release. The project is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with NTR Arts.
Casting updates around the film have steadily fuelled curiosity. Anil Kapoor is confirmed to play a key role, while Rukmini Vasanth is also reported to be part of the principal cast. Music is being composed by Ravi Basrur, continuing his successful collaboration streak with Neel.
With the Jordan portion done, the expectation now shifts to when the next India schedule begins and what kind of official announcement the team will make regarding the title and release plans.
Jr NTR’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Jr NTR’s recent run has kept him firmly in the event-movie lane. He headlined SS Rajamouli’s RRR (2022), a landmark blockbuster that propelled him further into the global spotlight. He followed it up with Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1 (2024), co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, which arrived as a major theatrical release in Telugu and other languages.
In 2025, Jr NTR expanded his Hindi footprint with War 2, sharing the screen with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani as part of YRF’s Spy Universe. Looking ahead, the biggest confirmed film on his slate is NTR31 with Prashanth Neel, the action spectacle currently in production and being widely tracked under the working title Dragon.
