As Drishyam: The Conclusion enjoys a strong theatrical run after its October 2, 2026 release, the actor’s latest remarks have added fresh fuel to fan chatter around Drishyam 4.
Speaking about the future of the franchise, Ajay said, “At the moment, it is a conclusion. I can’t predict it.” When pressed further on whether another film could still happen, he added, “See, I can’t predict it. Never say never. But, no, the decision was [that] this is the conclusion, so right now this is the conclusion.”
Ajay Devgn Keeps The Franchise Door Slightly Open
That measured response is enough to keep speculation alive, especially because the Hindi Drishyam series has built a loyal audience across three films. Drishyam: The Conclusion released in theatres this month with Ajay reprising Vijay Salgaonkar, alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak and serves as the latest chapter in the Hindi adaptation of the hit crime thriller franchise.
The current film has been positioned as a finale, and Ajay’s wording makes that clear. Yet his “never say never” comment leaves just enough room for the possibility that the franchise could return if the makers find a story worth telling.
Mohanlal’s Drishyam 4 Is Already In The Works

Mohanlal’s fourth instalment is officially in development, signalling that the larger Drishyam universe is far from over.
