The King of Kotha’s trailer launch became a viral sensation when the King of Romance showed his support. Dulquer Salmaan, the actor of the film, expressed his gratitude and excitement for Shah Rukh Khan’s kind gesture. He said it is a moment for the team, and especially for him, an “unabashed, unapologetic fanboy” of the superstar.
Dulquer Salmaan’s first attempt at a “mass” film, a genre that Shah Rukh will also venture into with his forthcoming Jawan, is the Malayalam action thriller King of Kotha. Shah Rukh shared the trailer of the film on Twitter on August 10, mentioning Dulquer and other actors such as Aishwarya Lekshmi and Shabeer Kallarakkal.

Dulquer responded to Shah Rukh’s tweet with gratitude and excitement, writing Dulquer had replied, writing, “Thank you so so so much Shahrukh Sir! This is such a huge moment for me! Fanboy forever 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻” The actor said the trailer “just blew up” after Shah Rukh’s tweet.
“We can’t see a wider push than that. It was so kind, the way he worded it. When he wrote ‘big hug to you’, I was like (heart skipped a beat). I am a huge fan. I love his journey and he always inspires all of us. It was a big, big moment for us,” he added.
Aishwarya Lekshmi said that when she saw the tweet, she exclaimed, “‘He knows my name!’ He tagged me, whoever did, but at least he knows my name!” Shabeer Kallarakkal, best known for his performance as Dancing Rose in the acclaimed Sarpatta Parambarai added, “I didn’t see it coming. I am a huge SRK fan and like her, I felt, ‘Wow he has tagged me.’ What a moment!”
