Producer Ektaa Kapoor is busy lining up an exciting slate of projects, and it looks like 2025 will be a year to watch for the producer. Just ahead of the release of The Sabarmati Report, starring Vikrant Massey, Ektaa has more surprises in store. The movie, which focuses on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident, will hit theatres on November 15. But that’s not all.
Ektaa’s upcoming productions include Bhooth Bangla with Akshay Kumar, directed by Priyadarshan, and a film with Sidharth Malhotra which is helmed by Panchayat fame Deepak Mishra.
However, Ektaa has more big plans beyond these titles. Sources close to the producer have revealed that she has signed Tumbbad director Rahi Anil Barve for an ambitious feature film.
Ektaa Kapoor Joins Hands With Tumbbad Director For A Concept Feature Film
Ektaa, who is a huge fan of Tumbbad, was impressed by Barve’s distinctive storytelling and visual style.
“She has signed Rahi for a feature film to be produced by Balaji. The script is currently in development and is said to be a high-concept project for the big screen,” a source told Pinkvilla.
While the script is still being worked on, the film is expected to enter production sometime in 2025 once everything is locked in place. The buzz is that Ektaa plans to cast a top-tier actor from the younger generation for the lead role, adding even more excitement to the project.
Ektaa Is Also Working On Ragini MMS 3 For 2025
Ektaa Kapoor is also set to bring back the Ragini MMS franchise. Sources confirmed that Rajat Arora is working on the script for Ragini MMS 3, which will feature three female leads.
“It’s another project that Ektaa is looking to take on floors in 2025. As suggested by the title, the film will feature 3 female leads in the most stunning avatar,” the source added.
The pre-production for Ragini MMS 3 is already underway, and the timelines for production will be finalised once Arora locks the screenplay draft. Fans of the franchise can expect a fresh and exciting direction for the third instalment.
The upcoming projects are keeping Ektaa’s team busy, with Bhooth Bangla and Vann expected to go into production in early 2025.
