Emraan Hashmi might be making his grand return to Vishesh Films, the production house that launched his Bollywood career. Reports suggest he is in talks with producers Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt for a modern love story with a dark twist.
If everything goes as planned, this film will also reunite him with his cousin Vishesh Bhatt, who is expected to direct the project.
Emraan Hashmi To Reunite With Bhatts After 8 Years?
Emraan Hashmi’s last project with Vishesh Films was Raaz: Reboot in 2016. Since then, fans have been eager to see him collaborate with the Bhatts again.
According to sources, the actor has been frequently visiting Vishesh Bhatt’s office for over a year. Last week, he was spotted there once again, fueling speculations about an upcoming project.
“Last week, he was again spotted at their Khar office. While they have shortlisted a few stories, the one that has their attention is a modern love story with a dark twist, written by Vishesh. Things will be finalised by March,” a source told Mid-Day.
Vishesh Bhatt’s Second Directorial Venture
Vishesh Bhatt made his directorial debut with Murder 3 in 2013. Now he is set to helm his second film after a decade. This project marks a significant moment for both the Bhatt family and Hashmi, who have been a key part of their film journey.
Mukesh Bhatt has been managing the production house with his son Vishesh after Mahesh Bhatt stepped back in 2021. He hinted at a possible collaboration but kept details under wraps.
“We’re looking at options, but it’s too early to talk about it. Vishesh is at the helm of it. He is now taking the banner forward, but yes, I will be there [to oversee] the music,” Mukesh said.
For the unversed, the Bhatt-Hashmi duo has delivered some of Bollywood’s most memorable films (including Murder, Jannat, Gangster, and the Raaz series). Known for their intense storytelling and chart-topping music, their collaborations have always been a hit among audiences.
While the project is yet to be officially confirmed, anticipation is already building. If all goes as planned, this film could revive the magic of the Emraan Hashmi-Vishesh Films era. You can expect a gripping narrative, soulful music, and Hashmi’s signature on-screen charm returning to big screens. A final decision on the film is expected by March 2025.
