Featuring Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria in lead roles along with Amrita Singh and Zakir Hussain in pivotal roles, Heropanti 2 was directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. This Tiger Starrer tanked big time and failed to touch even 25 cr nett at the box office. The disaster verdict of the film sent shock waves around the industry. Most industry insiders thought that films of this genre might opt for straight to digital release. But our industry has a habit of surprising one and all for all the wrong reasons.

Now the trailer of Vidyut Jamwaal starrer Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha is out and it looks like the routine age-old theme of an action thriller. Starring Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi, it is an action thriller film written and directed by Faruk Kabir. Khuda Haafiz 2 will hit the big screens on July 8.
Then in a couple of weeks, Nikamma will arrive which is directed by Sabir Khan of disaster Munna Michael fame and that too seems like mindless stale action drama. Apart from Abhimanyu and Shirley, Nikamma also stars Shilpa Shetty as a superhero, who will turn Abhimanyu’s lazy character into a responsible man. The action-comedy will release in theatres on June 17.
Then on 1st July, Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Om will arrive which is produced by Ahmed Khan who delivered the disaster Heropanti 2 as director and Om looks so dated and stale that only blockbuster song can save it. Along with Aditya Roy Kapur, actress Sanjana Sanghi and Prakash Raj will also be seen playing lead roles in this film. Debutant Kapil Verma is the director of this film.
Theatrical prospects of all these three films look weak and only blockbuster songs or surprise can change their fate. And if all these tank then what will happen to Tiger Shroff starrer Ganapath and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan 2?
