The anticipation surrounding Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan has been growing since the film’s announcement. Aanand Rai has given fans & families across the world a lot to look forward to; keeping in tune with his signature storytelling style which brings to life stories from small-town India; like Atrangi Re, Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Raanjhanaa and Manmarziyaan. Raksha Bandhan is a film from the roots of India’s heartland that will tug at your heartstrings.
Akshay Kumar starrer Rakshabandhan will be facing Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha on 11th August at the box office.
The trailer of the Akshay Kumar starrer depicts a man struggling to get his sisters married. But the movie is not solely about this; rather, it depicts the story of a brother who is compelled to consider his sisters’ empowerment. One of his sisters becomes a lawyer and the other also finds an independent life with a respectable profession.
This progressive content should ensure a big success at the box office for Akshay Kumar who is under pressure after the flop results of Bachchhan Pandey and Samrat Prithviraj.
Written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, the Aanand L Rai directorial has been co-produced by Aanand L Rai, Alka Hiranandanai and ZEE Studios. Presented by Colour Yellow, ZEE Studios and Cape of Good Films, the film is set to hit screens on 11th August 2022.
