Amar Kaushik directed Bhediya had Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal. Dinesh Vijan was the producer of it who said that it was the part of his horror comedy universe. Jio studios was the Co producer and is backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. It was released on November 25, 2022.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 stars Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna and Ishita Dutta. It’s produced by Panorama Studios and has almost the same cast return for the sequel after hit part one. It was released in theatres on November 18, 2022.
Both Drishyam 2 and Bhediya released in November and with the mega success of Ajay starrer earned Rs 239.67 cr nett in India. On the other hand, ‘Bhediya’, a Maddock film and Varun starrer didn’t postpone their release knowing the everyday success it was receiving at the Box-office.
Considering the latest, Pathaan released on January 25, 2023, which is full of drama and action which is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani have worked on its music. It released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu.
Directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts, and Brat Films, Shehzada stars Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and others. It was supposed to hit the big screen on February 10, 2023 and now it’s scheduled to release on February 17, 2023.

Similary another postponement comes from Bawaal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari which stars Varun, Janhvi Kapoor, Parth Siddhpura. It was supposed to release on April 7, 2023 and will have a new release date soon. It showcases the tale of a small-town man who falls in love with the most adorable girl in town.
In this case, Shehzada and Bawaal movie makers are seen honouring the competition, which is Shah Rukh, Deepika starrer Pathaan smashing the box-office records, inching closer to 600 cr-mark. It was not the same in November when Maddock film’s Bhediya didn’t defer their release date knowing very well how excellent Drishyam 2 was performing at the Box-office.
Common sense prevailed but it’s not so common in case of ‘Bhediya’!
