Usually, films release on Friday of the week. However, Ram Setu and Thank God are set to release coinciding with Diwali on October 25. Prior to it, the promotional events will take place for respective films, giving a tough competition to please the audience.
Abhishek Sharma directed Ram Setu is an upcoming action-adventure film starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Satya Dev and Nushrratt Bharuccha. The story showcases an archaeologist who is on a journey to check whether the Ram Setu (Adam’s) Bridge is a myth or a reality.
Indra Kumar directed Thank God stars Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh. It is set to be released on October 25 coinciding with Diwali. Ajay Devgn plays the deity Chitragupt, while Malhotra as comman man who hangs between life and death.
The drama-action film is quite adventurous, whereas Thank God is a comedy movie. Both films are larger than life. Akshay starrer Raksha Bandhan didn’t perform well and he is hoping on Ram Setu now. Ram Setu has been reportedly served legal notice by BJP leader Subramanyam Swamy over “distorting Ram Setu Saga”. Thank God too has been surrounded with controveries over Chitragupta’s character, including Kuwait’s ban.
Fans seem to be excited to see the box-office performances of both once they release. With Indian culture and hertigate, many would relate to it. The promo of Ram Setu will also be strengthened during T20 World Cup schedule and it will overshadow the Thank God’s promo.
Ram Setu glimpse will be out in a weeks time from now. Navratri will start from 26th September and same day promo will be out. Ram Setu touted as big VFX extravaganza and boasts of fab story.
As of now Thank God is carrying amazing buzz but Ram Setu is set to give tough competition and might turn out Akshay’s highest grosser of the year despite clash.
