EXCLUSIVE: Facts check -Runtime, screen size, shows & content; Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha Vs Akshay Kumar’s RakshaBandhan

Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan, and Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar, are scheduled to open in theatres on the same day, August 11. As a result, the box office is preparing to witness one of the biggest clashes in recent times.

Given that both of the family-friendly dramas target the same demographic though one is urban & other is massy small town, it will be interesting to watch which one does better at the box office.

Ahead of the mega clash, let’s take a look at the run time, screen size and content of the show.

* The run time of Akshay Kumar’s Rakshabandhan is 1 hours 50 minutes and Aamir’s LSC is 2 hours and 44 minutes long. This will be an advantage for Rakshabandhan as it will get more shows and LSC will get less.

* Aamir’s film is opening more in multiplexes and Akshay’s film on single screens so Khiladi Kumar is in advantage in this case.

* One of the major profits for this Aanand L Rai film is that the film is based on the relationship of brother and sister and it is releasing exactly on the same festival, Rakshabandhan so it will attract more families during the festive times.

* Aamir Khan & Kareena Kapoor are under a lot of controversies for his earlier statements and hence LSC can get into trouble for this reason and Akshay starrer is safe in this regard.

* As of now the music of both films are great. The urban classy audience is been attracted towards Laal Singh Chaddha and the massy crowd is towards Rakshabandhan. It is a battle between two amazing music maestros Pritam and Himesh Reshammiya.

As we predicted earlier, Rakshabandhan will open between 8-10 cr and LSC in between 16-17 cr at the box office but these numbers can vary and change closer to release.

The advance booking of both the films will open the day after tomorrow and hence on Monday we will get an idea of which film will lead and we will keep updating you on daily basis regarding the same.

A remake of Tom Hanks’ 1994 cult classic Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya.

On the other hand, Bhumi Pednekar will be seen opposite Akshay in Raksha Bandhan.
