Hera Pheri and its sequel starred Akshay z Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, which released in 2000 and 2006, respectively. Part one was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 7.5 cr and earned Rs 17.8 cr, whereas Phir Hera Pheri’s budget stood at Rs 18 cr and collected Rs 69.12 cr at the Box-office. First film was cult and second was hit too.
There have been rumours over the last few months regarding its director, cast, which included Aness Bazmee & Kartik Aaryan’s names, respectively. The latest bollywood news is that Farhad Samji—who also directed ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and is working for upcoming ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’—will reportedly helm the comedy film. Akshay, Suniel, Paresh will only be a part of the cast as Raju, Shyam and Baburao, respectively.
We bring you the exclusive update on its threequel that there have been three prominent names of actresses who are in queue to be finalised for a female lead. These are Kriti Sanon, Disha Patani and Rashmika Mandanna and one among them will be chosen to play the character as a lead role. Final call is yet to be taken but Disha and Kriti are front runners.
It was scheduled to go on floors in October 2023 but has begun shooting promo today at Empire Studio in Mumbai, where they also shot for Hera Pheri in 1999.
