Dharma Productions’ head honcho, Karan Johar has launched many star-kids in the Bollywood industry. With his films, which are set on big budgets, he has launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Ishaan Khatter among others.
The fire of Nepotism haunted Karan the most after the sad demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. The death of the actor created huge uproar all over. Netizens couldn’t control their anger and started blaming Karan Johar and his ways of neglecting outsiders and launching only star kids in the industry.
Recently, when Karan’s banner Dharma Productions released an official statement on social media to make an announcement that the main actor Kartik Aaryan has been departured from the project, Dostana 2, netizens began accusing the production house of nepotism again.
Although, Kartik decided to keep a mum on this topic, was the actor thrown out of the project because he couldn’t adjust to the Karan gang because he is an outsider. What could be the problem that the production house never have woth the starkids and for once when they went ahead with an outsider, the team couldn’t work it out.
The question about why outstanding actors, who have proven themselves with their talent on screen like Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Vineet Kumar, and others aren’t ever approached by Karan and team for casting is still never answered.
When Karan brought on board Journalist and film critic, Rajeev Masand, was he planning on being on the good books of the audience by making them believe that he is the one who’s taking care of the Dharma talent hub now. If this is the case then why is he again launching another starkid, Shanaya Kapoor (Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter).
Although Dharma Productions claim of launching Tripti Dimri in their recent announcement of new talents, but the actress has already been a part of Imtiaz Ali’s Laila Majnu and Anushka Sharma’s Bulbbul and has proven her worth in the industry with her performance.
