It’s not the first time that Salman Khan’s charity effort has put him in the spotlight. He has always aided the less fortunate in some way or another since his Bollywood debut. Now, we learn that the superstar has followed through on his vow to assist Bollywood film crews.
In the midst of the ongoing pandemic, the actor has transferred Rs 1500 to the accounts of 25,000 film workers. BN Tiwari, head of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), said in a statement, “Salman Khan is one of the large-hearted actors of Bollywood who has continued to help us whenever we need any support. He had helped our members in the first lockdown too, we are grateful to him. He has told us that he will continue to help our workers in the future too.”
Salman’s initiative is touching, and it’s encouraging to see so many B-town celebrities stepping up to support Bollywood’s film employees, who are the ones who are suffering due to the shutdown of film shoots.
