Since the coronavirus pandemic is spreading in the country the government has decided to follow a nationwide lockdown. Bollywood also stands still and many films which were set to release have put on hold. Janhvi Kapoor’s exciting biopic Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is also in the list of films that were scheduled to hit the screens in March.
Now according to the reports the makers are eying on the digital rerelease of the film. Produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios the film is based on the life story of former Indian Air Force fighter pilot Gunjan Saxena.
It has been reported that the film may start streaming on OTT giant Netflix since it is uncertain then the lockdown will be lifted and movie theaters start to work.
A tabloid quoted a source as saying, “At this point in time, the only two Bollywood films certain to have a big-screen release whenever are Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s 83. Every other film is in consideration or talks for web releases including Janhvi’s biopic.”
This is the second film of newcomer Janhvi after Dhadak, amid she also did a part in Netflix’s original film Ghost Stories.
Directed by Sharan Sharma Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl stars Pankaj Tripathi as Gunjan Saxena’s father and Angad Bedi as her brother.
