Irrfan Khan as Ranvijay Singh in the film. The actor, who is know to give his soul to the character impressed us much in the film. This will definitely be one of those films that we will always have in the top list of Irrfan’s films.

Life In A Metro:

This has to be my personal favorite of all the films that has the outstanding actor Irrfan Khan. His jokes, his simple yet dreamy life, his positive attitude towards everything in this film has taught us all a lot. Undoubtedly, this film would not be as special as it is if there wasn’t Irrfan in it.

Maqbool:

Maqbool was a story about greed and ambition. It was an adaption of Macbeth by Vishal Bhardwaj. Legendary actor Irrfan dons the role of Maqbool in the film. He falls in love with his boss’s mistress played by Tabu and this the movie goes about how he plans to murder the boss. Well, it was definitely a killer role and couldn’t be more apt if it wasn’t Irrfan Khan playing it.

Paan Singh Tomar:

A direction by Tigmanshu Dhulia, Paan Singh Tomar shown us a very different side of Irrfan Khan. This movie literally proved that this actor is unstoppable and can do any role without fail. The film seen Irrfan becoming a dacoit from an athlete when his mother gets murdered. This movie won National Film Award for Best Feature Film and Irrfan bagged Screen Award for Best Actor, which he deserved.

Billu Barber:

Story of a poor family man played by Irrfan Khan who’s everyday struggles is to find bread and butter for his family. His life turns upside down when a superstar (played by Shah Rukh Khan), who happens to be his childhood friend comes to shoot in his village. Irrfan Khan was highly appreciated for this comedy-drama.

Talwar:

Talwar was based on Aarushi murder case. The movie was written by Vishal Bhardwaj. Irrfan Khan, who was seen as the Central Department of Investigation (CDI) officer Ashwin Kumar completely smashed his character. He was shown as a person with dark humour and sharp intelligence. In the film, Irrfan lights up every frame.

Piku:

Starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Irrfan Khan, the film was one of its kind. Although the story of the film focused on the father-daughter relationship in a quirky way. Irrfan’s character and his sweet moments with Deepika aka Piku made this film most memorable of his career.

Life Of A Pi:

This movie was a direction by Ang Lee and Yann Martel. Life of a Pi was a brilliant craft of masterpiece. The film portrays the struggles of a young boy when he faces survival crisis in the middle of the sea where he is stuck with a Bengal Tiger in a boat. The film teaches us to never lose hope in life, whatever maybe the circumstances. The winner of this movie was Pi himself, which was played by Suraj Sharma as young and Irrfan Khan as elder Pi.

Hindi Medium:

This was the first time Irrfan Khan was working with a Pakistani actress, Saba Qamar. Irrfan is a businessman from Chandni Chowk in the film. He and his wife’s character struggles to get their five-year-old daughter admitted to a prestigious English-medium school in Delhi. Irrfan Khan’s acting in the film makes you laugh out loud and at the same time put tears in your eyes.

Rest In Peace Irrfan Khan! 🙁
