Maddock Films, the renowned Bollywood production house, has announced that it has roped in a total of six directors for its upcoming movies. Interestingly, five of these directors are debutants in the industry, which is a bold move by the production house. To gain the actors’ confidence and bring fresh perspectives to the films, Maddock Films has appointed two directors for each of the three movies they are producing.
The first movie is titled “Skyforce” and stars Bollywood’s action hero, Akshay Kumar. The movie is being directed by Sandeep Kewlani (dialogue writer of ‘Bholaa’) and Abhishek Kapur, (part of direction team of ‘Mimi’ ‘Stree’ – Amar Kaushik’s film) both of whom are making their debut in Bollywood. This is the first time that Akshay Kumar has worked with either of these directors, and fans are excited to see what they bring to the table. Akshay will reportedly start production on a new movie in end of May.
The second movie features the talented duo of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Amit Joshi and Aarandhana Sah, both debutant directors, will be helming this project. Both were writers duo before. Amit has written films like ‘Panga’, ‘Trapped’ and ‘Babli Bouncer’. The untitled film has already generated a lot of buzz amongst fans, and their appointment is sure to pique their interest further.
The third and final movie is titled “Pooja Meri Jaan” and stars the talented duo of Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi. The movie is being directed by Navjot Singh Gulati and Vipasha Arvind, who is also making their debut in Bollywood. She has been part of direction team of Amar Kaushik. This is the first time that the two actresses are collaborating on a project, and fans are excited to see how their chemistry translates on screen. Navjot directed ‘Jai Mummy Di’ for Luv Ranjan before.
